Děčínský Sněžník

1557

The highest table mountain in the Czech Republic presents the first major physical challenge, as the bike trail climbs from Děčín through forest sections all the way to the summit plateau itself, where the iconic stone lookout tower from 1864 stands. Most of the route consists of a paved surface, which transitions toward the end into rougher asphalt and panels that any trekking or mountain bike can handle with ease. At the very summit, cyclists are rewarded with a well-deserved break at the local snack bar and breathtaking panoramic views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Bohemian Switzerland, and even as far as Saxony.
