Stage 5: Kraslice – Cheb

The final section of the trail descends into the Cheb Basin. The route takes you through the town of Luby and, thanks to side trips, offers the best of the region – Vildštejn and Seeberg castles, the Soos nature reserve with its mud volcanoes and the parks of the spa town of Františkovy Lázně. You will successfully complete your journey at the Skalka reservoir in Cheb. The total route including side trips is 54 km long.

Z Kraslic vás cyklotrasa č. 23 povede zprvu mírným stoupáním přes hraniční vrcholy a následně začne plynule klesat do města Luby, které celosvětově proslavila staletá tradice výroby strunných hudebních nástrojů. Z tohoto místa již trasa definitivně opouští Krušné hory. První skvělou zajížďkou je návštěva městečka Skalná, kde stojí monumentální hrad Vildštejn – jeden z nejstarších románských vodních hradů v Česku, kde najdete i hradní restauraci.

Z Františkových Lázní vás pak závěrečná, plně asfaltová cyklostezka dovede podél břehů řeky Eger a vodní nádrže Skalka až na samotný konec magistrály.
