One of the oldest surviving Romanesque-Gothic castles in Bohemia, also known as Ostroh, towers above the valley of the Slatina stream and houses rich exhibitions of historic furniture, edged weapons and folk life in the Cheb region. Cycle route no. 23 runs right past the castle moat, and the whole site is perfectly equipped for cyclists. You can safely park and lock your bike in the racks in the outer bailey in front of the main gate, within sight of the castle ticket office and restaurant, leaving you free to take a relaxed tour of the entire interior.
